Quiet hours, school pickup, and push fatigue
When unsubscribes jump, the first meeting is usually about tone. Rewrite the subject. Add an emoji. Promise fewer messages. Meanwhile the clock on the extract is doing more explanatory work than the copy. In Thai cities, the hour after school pickup is already full: traffic, food orders, wallet balance pings, and at least one banner trying to “re-engage.” Loyalty pushes that land there are not competing with other brands so much as competing with a parent’s remaining patience.
In-App vs Push Loyalty Engagement, the companion kit, starts with a histogram of send time against unsubscribe, not against open. Opens flatter you. Unsubscribes tell you when the room went quiet in the wrong way.
Quiet hours are not a brand colour
A quiet hour is a product rule: no promotional push, no wallet marketing update, still allow transactional till receipts. Teams that fold receipts into the same mute window then wonder why guests miss a burn confirmation. Split the types. Dawn is often a better home for balance updates than evening, especially for petrol and grocery.
School calendars matter here too. A quiet-hour rule that ignores exam weeks will look random in May. Keep the same dated calendar table we argue for in cohort windows.
What we ask students to bring
Two weeks of send timestamps, unsubscribe timestamps, and wallet update timestamps. If those three live in different tools, that is already the finding. The studio will not magically join them for you; we will sit with you while you name the collision.
Write the desk if you want the kit, or sit the flagship if you need the wider architecture around it.
